Water gardening is becoming a very popular hobby and landscape feature. Unfortunately, since it is so new, there are many so called experts who are using old out of date information and trying to sell old out of date pond equipment. There are different styles of ponds and each one has its own advantages and disadvantages. Many people and web sites don’t understand this very basic fact and they try to tell anyone who will listen that the way they filter their pond (or what ever they do) is the only way to do it for any pond, because they blindly don’t understand the differences in pond styles. Once you understand the differences in pond styles and the consequences of those differences, you will be smarter than 90% of the self proclaimed pond experts.
